Knowing God Loves You : Episode Recap

Do you ever wonder if God truly loves you? In Episode this episode recap of Talking with God, we explore the deep, unwavering love of God and how understanding it can transform your life. No matter who you are or what you’ve done, His love is constant and unshakable.

Four Proofs That God Loves You

Romans 5:8 (CSB) says, “But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” His love isn’t based on our performance—it’s freely given. The Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) beautifully illustrates this truth, showing how God always welcomes us back, no matter how far we’ve wandered.

Modern-Day Example: Imagine a young woman who strayed far from her family, making poor choices and feeling lost. When she finally called home, expecting rejection, her father’s voice was filled with love: “Come home, we’ve been waiting for you.” That’s how God welcomes us.

Psalm 139:1-2 (CSB) declares, “Lord, you have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I stand up; you understand my thoughts from far away.” God knows and loves you personally. When Peter denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:54-62), Jesus later restored him with a personal conversation (John 21:15-19), proving that His love is intimate and redemptive.

Modern-Day Example: Just as a mother instantly recognizes her child’s voice in a crowded room, God knows you individually. You are not just another face in the crowd—He sees and cherishes you.

John 3:16 (CSB) reminds us, “For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is the ultimate proof of God’s love.

Paul’s story (Acts 9:1-19, 1 Timothy 1:12-16) is a powerful example. Once a persecutor of Christians, Paul encountered Jesus and was transformed by His love. If God’s love could reach Paul, it can reach anyone.

Modern-Day Example: Think of a firefighter running into a burning building to save someone trapped inside. That’s a glimpse of what Jesus did—He ran into the fire of our sin to bring us out.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (CSB) says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!” God’s love doesn’t just forgive—it renews and restores.

David’s story (Psalm 51, 2 Samuel 11-12) shows this transformation. Despite his failures, he repented, and God restored him.

Modern-Day Example: Imagine an artist restoring a broken painting. What seemed ruined becomes beautiful again. That’s what God does in our lives.

Do you believe that God loves you—not just in theory, but personally? Maybe you’ve felt unworthy, distant, or unsure. But today, I want you to know: God’s love is real, and it’s for you.

A Prayer for Assurance of God’s Love

Father, thank You for loving us—not because we deserve it, but because You are good. Help us to truly understand the depth of Your love. Remove the doubts and fears that keep us from trusting in You. Let Your love transform our hearts and draw us closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
